Your clients are
a huge part of what makes your business successful, so stay in touch, reach out,
and create lasting relationships.
Small businesses and large companies alike have an obligation to stay in touch with their clients. This is an essential part of business because it builds trust, creates relationships, and shows appreciation for your customers. They are a vast part of what makes your business successful, after all. Today, we will discuss some ways in which you can up your communication game and create lasting relationships with current and future customers.
Participate in Email Marketing
Email marketing is a way to communicate with your clients through email which may include sending a monthly newsletter, coupons, or informing customers of upcoming events and sales. I enjoy reading in my free time, so I am subscribed to receive email marketing from big chain book stores as well as my local bookstores. What I enjoy about email marketing is that as a customer, I can choose my email preferences. For example, I might choose certain genres to be informed about or choose to only receive emails when sales or coupons are available. You can do this for your clients as well. You may even choose to send out your emails on a schedule, say every other week or once a month. Clients can choose to sign up to receive your company emails through your website as well as choose/change their preferences.
Run an Ad Campaign
An ad campaign consists of advertisements focusing on one aspect or product sold by your company. These can also be scheduled to pop up on multiple social media accounts every other week, every week, or every day for a week, etc. Ad campaigns can be a reminder to your clients of your services or products. Choose your target audience and market to them accordingly, such as through social media, email marketing, or print marketing. Make sure you include a call-to-action in your advertisements, such as “call us today at 555-5555 for a quote” or “visit our website at www.example.com for more information”.
Go to Tradeshows
Tradeshows are events in which businesses can set up booths with their products and services on display for potential clients to see. I believe tradeshows can be very effective in gaining new customers, because people will get to meet you face-to-face; they can get to know the company’s personality, mission, and values which will build trust in your services and business as a whole. In a previous job, I was able to participate with my fellow co-workers and the CEO of the company in a local tradeshow. I had a great time getting to know customers and selling our products and services right in front of them. We also displayed examples of our work so potential customers could see some finished products that we had created. Check out your local convention center to see if they will host any tradeshows in your field.
Staying in touch with clients can be beneficial to the future of your business. Creating lasting relationships will keep your current customer coming back for your services or products. Email marketing, ad campaigns, and tradeshows are
only a few ways this can be achieved. Explore what works best for your business and go with it. You might find that it is effective for your specific clientele.
Happy marketing!
